Allen E. Hullinger, 95, of Butler, Indiana passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Laurels of DeKalb in Butler.
He was born August 25, 1920 in Vivian, South Dakota, to the late Elmer and Ruth (Winchell) Hullinger. He worked at Crane Edmund in Butler and Dana Weatherhead in Angola before retiring in 1989. He was also a lifetime farmer.
Also surviving are three daughters, Shirley Roose of Fort Wayne, Roberta (Dale) Parkison of St. Joe and Caryn (Don) Wilkerson-Shilling; a daughter-in-law, Amy Hullinger of Butler; eight grandchildren, Adam Parkison, Tyler Parkison, Brandon Parkison, Cayti Donovan, Erin Walters, Sam Hullinger, Jessica Hullinger and Jamie Stayer; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eldon (Virginia) Hullinger of Fort Wayne and Franklin Hullinger of Auburn; and two sisters-in-law, Clara Hullinger of Auburn and Annabelle Hullinger of Auburn.

Allen was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He fought in Italy and carried shrapnel in his arm from the war.
He married Mary Ellen Reid on January 1, 1946 and she passed away May 1969. He then married Barbara (Warner) Wilkerson in 1972 and she survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Larry Hullinger; three brothers, Harold "Pete" Hullinger, Vernon Hullinger and Donald Hullinger; and two sisters, Myrtle Henderson and Nila Ruth Hullinger.
